Photographer Research- Clare Strand

Clare Strand was born in 1973. She studied at University of Brighton and the Royal College of Art in London. She lives and works in Brighton. She confesses to not have a single photographic style, preferring to respond directly to her subject. In 2009 she had her first major solo show at the Folkwang Museum, Germany, Essen, and also had her first monograph published by Stedil and Photoworks. She has had exhibitions all over the world and also had her work put into different books and magazines.

I really like these images, in these pictures she had a background set up and took random people in from off the street to stand infront of the background while she took the picture. I find the images really interesting seeing what different kinds of people there are and how they react to having there pictures took being took out of there comfort zone and put into a new enviroment.
